    LawHelp Line can be used for a wide range of business or personal problems including employment problems, business partner disputes, copyright disputes, debt collecting, property owner or tenant disputes.  It also includes advice on business restructures, disputes with competitors, marketing copy, customer disputes, insurance issues, Fair Trading Act issues, warranty issues, civil claims, personal relationship issues, deceased estate issues, and disputes with trades people and related property problems.

     

    LawHelp Line offers 3 value for money subscriptions services to choose from:

     

    • 30 minutes of telephone advice per month for $200 (plus GST); or
    • 45 minutes of telephone advice per month for $300 (plus GST); or
    • 1 hour of telephone advice per month for $380 (plus GST).

     

    LawHelp Line subscribers also receive advice over extended office hours, 8am to 6pm business days.

LawHelp Line™ Terms of Service:

The LawHelp Line subscriptions are designed for business owners wanting value for money from their legal provider with the ability to fix their monthly legal costs and solve day to day problems as they arise with a simple phone call. We believe in exceptional client service.  If you are a new client and aren’t satisfied with your subscription in the first 30 days, you can cancel your subscription – no questions asked.  So sign up for a 30 day trial now.  The service is available during extended business hours from 8am to 6pm business days.

Our subscriptions are focused on providing value for money prompt pragmatic solution driven legal and commercial telephone advice for both your business and personal affairs.  Thus, you will get prompt verbal answers to all your questions and suggested options available to resolve your problems. 

You can schedule a call to speak to a Lawyer on any business day between 8am and 6pm by simply sending a TXT to 021 232 2070 or an email to lawhelp@waipunalaw.co.nz preferably with at least 8 hours’ notice.  Calls are scheduled according to availability but are generally responded to within 24 hours.

The short answer, no.

 

The LawHelp Line is focused on providing prompt legal telephone advice to resolve business and personal problems.  As a result, there are services that are not included in your subscription such as drafting and reviewing documents, sending letters or emails and attending on more time-consuming projects such as due diligence or trade mark searches.  For those services, we offer a discount on our competitive hourly rate.  If we are unable to assist you with a particular area of law such as Immigration Law, we may be able to suggest a lawyer to help you address that need.

If the business has additional needs for legal services not included in the subscription, you can still have these provided under a separate Letter of Engagement at a discounted hourly rate.  Additional legal fees will be billed via a separate invoice and payment terms are seven days.

Before providing any services we will provide you with a Letter of Engagement to comply with NZ Law Society rules.

We believe that you should gain value in all services you purchase to support your growing business, including our legal and business services.  If you want to change the amount of legal time you have each month, then just email us at  lawhelp@waipunalaw.co.nz to change your subscription.  You may change or end your subscription after the first six months and your subscription will end on the last day of the following month.  We don’t believe in locking you into a long-term contract or holding onto your firm’s money with a retainer “in the event” the business requires legal services.  We also reserve the right to cancel your subscription service at anytime and for any reason on one month’s notice.

Yes it can be but only up to a maximum of 2 hours per annum from the anniversary date of your subscription.

Each month, we will invoice you for your previous monthly LawHelp Line subscription fee using the account on record.  Payment terms are 7 days and overdue payment may result in suspension of your subscription.  It is the business owner’s responsibility to ensure that only authorised staff have access to the LawHelp Line and that they do not exceed the monthly subscription allowance.
